Disney Classic Steam Games – Disney often withdraws several of its games from distribution and this habit has several times resulted in the closure of online games which has left players disappointed. Pirates of the Caribbean Online, Toontown, and Club Penguin are examples of Disney games that were once very popular but were eventually abandoned.
The community has kept games like Toontown and Club Penguin alive through their own projects, but recently, Disney has withdrawn many of their games from Steam.
Many Classic Disney Games Are Pulled From Steam For No Apparent Reason

One Steamgifts user named HappyCatEW was the first to discover that Disney had quietly withdrawn 14 of their classic games from Steam. There is no definite reason why they did that, but what is certain is that the majority of games that have been withdrawn from circulation are licensed games or those that adapt Disney films.
Here’s a list of classic Disney games known to have been pulled from Steam:
- Hereafter
- Armed and Dangerous
- Car Radiator Springs Adventure
- Little Ace Cock in Action
- Disney Fairies: The Adventures of Tinker Bell
- Disney’s Hercules
- Disney planes
- Disney Winnie the Pooh
- Finding Nemo
- Obviously
- Phineas and Ferb: New Discovery
- Substitute Island
- The Princess and the Frog
- Toy Story Mania

The games above can still be played as long as players already own them, but now they can no longer be purchased. Games like Disney Fairies: Tinker Bell’s Adventure are the newest because they were released in 2014, while the oldest is Stunt Island which was released in 1992.
The bad news is that several games such as Afterlife and Stunt Island were originally also available on GOG but have now both been removed and can no longer be purchased.
Will the Game Return One Day?

After checking further via SteamDB for these games, it turned out that the information was indeed true. Until now, Disney has not commented on the loss of 14 of their games from Steam and other PC gaming platforms.
What Disney did is actually not something strange, but what makes players wonder is why these games were removed without warning.
Some of the games above may appear again on Steam in the future, but their appearance is never certain and even if they do return, they are often only available for a short time before finally disappearing again. The Deadpool game by Activision, for example, disappeared from various PC gaming platforms such as Steam, but was finally brought back and not long after that was immediately removed forever.
