With another Silent Hill planned to debut in 2026 (and every year after) in some form of either a remake or new installment, it won’t take long for the franchise to reach peak speculation. However, some fans pointed out that there is no Konami logo on the site. But then again, if anything, it would ruin the surprise.

Another major contender is Project M, a Nintendo-exclusive horror project previously teased by Bloober. And since previous reports indicated that new details would emerge as early as 2026, February is a particularly suspicious period.

From here, many titles were rumored as Project M was already a magnet for speculation including entries Eternal of Darkness and Dino Crisis. Some fans have also linked the countdown to Cronos, even saying that the site hides the word in its typography, especially the thin font.

Another interpretation circulating is “He is calm. There is no regret for your actions,” which is more like a line taken from a psychological horror narrative. In addition to URL decoding, some fans have checked the page’s visuals and claim that they can see hidden eyes in the background.

But just when it looked like this temptation would remain speculative until February 15, a new discovery added fuel to the fire.

Bloober Team Trademark “Onyx: The Dark Grip”

On the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, one Redditor highlighted that Bloober Team recently received new trademark approval through the EUIPO. The trademark was reportedly filed on May 13, 2024, then registered and published on January 2, 2026 under the name Onyx: The Dark Grip. It is classified in Class 9 and Class 41, categories that include digital goods and gaming-related activities.

The timing is impossible to ignore. Bloober kicked off 2026 by leading fans into a countdown mystery, and on the same day the trademark was spotted by the public with a new name that seemed like it belonged in a horror announcement.

While this does not confirm the identity of the countdown project, it does add real ground to the speculation and gives the public a concrete right to be associated with the noise.
