The Styx Blades of Greed Demo is Now Out on Steam for a Limited Time Only

Styx Blades of Greed launches on February 19th and while the wait isn’t long, Cyanide Studio is opening the gates early with a free PC demo, now available on Steam. This is a limited time offer, so if you’ve been wanting to try it out, download it now while you can.

With the Styx Blades of Greed release date fast approaching, the studio is giving players an early chance to return to the world of Styx and get to know what’s new.

A free demo is now available on Steam, offering PC players a hands-on preview ahead of launch. The demo is available for a limited time, and while Cyanide hasn’t announced an exact end date, they made it clear that it won’t be permanent. So, it’s a good idea to pick it up sooner rather than later. Unfortunately for console players, the demo is only available for PC.

According to the official announcement, the demo offers about an hour of gameplay, although that time could be longer for players who want to explore further. It introduces the game’s opening section, guides players through a tutorial showcasing some of Styx’s new abilities, and includes the first complete mission set in The Wall, the game’s first open environment.

The demo download is approximately 17 GB in size and because it covers the beginning of the game, any progress made can be carried over to the full release.

Styx Blades of Greed preorders are now live

Along with the demo release, Cyanide Studio has officially opened preorders for Styx Blades of Greed. Players who preorder the game will receive the Master of Shadow skin, regardless of which edition they choose.

The Standard Edition includes the full base game, while the Quartz Edition offers a few extras. This includes additional outfits inspired by Styx’s obsession with Quartz, Yellow, and Gold, as well as the iconic outfit from Styx: Shards of Darkness. The Quartz Edition also features an exclusive dagger skin, extra taunts designed to distract enemies, and a starter pack containing two skill points and crafting materials. Additionally, 48 hour early access.

Styx Blades of Greed will officially launch on February 19, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
