2025 Steam Game Awards Winner Announced, Silksong Named GOTY

The 2025 Steam Game Awards winners were revealed with Hollow Knight Silksong dominating with 2 awards including Game of the Year.

The 2025 Steam Game Awards are officially underway, ending the year as the last major awards show for PC gaming. Voted by the Steam community, these awards highlight the standout PC games of 2025. The winners of the 2025 Steam Game Awards are now official, and cap off the last major awards show of the year for PC gaming. With only 11 categories, Hollow Knight: Silksong dominated, winning Game of the Year and Best Game You Suck At Awards, making it the most awarded game at the event.

Apart from GOTY, the most anticipated award is Labor of Love, which, unlike other awards, is not limited to games released this year. Instead, it honors titles that continue to grow and develop long after launch through consistent developer support. The finalists include Helldivers 2, No Man’s Sky, Rust, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Dota 2, all of which have proven to be PC gaming mainstays. Baldur’s Gate 3 finally claims the award.

Expedition 33 also left its mark on the Steam Game Awards. After earning numerous wins at other major ceremonies including The Game Awards 2025, the title added one more accolade by winning Best Soundtrack.
