Eid Mubarak Montreal – Eidos is a company that develops cool games such as Deus Ex, Tomb Raider, and recently worked on Fable and Grounded 2 with Playground Games and Obsidian Entertainment.
Even though it has various interesting games, unfortunately this studio has now made a tough decision where the Eidos Montreal studio is laying off employees again. Why is this studio laying off its employees?
Eidos Montreal Lays Off More Employees?
A LinkedIn Post appeared on Monday where Eidos Montreal announced that they would be reducing their workforce, aka layoffs. This reduction affects 124 employees of the studio.
Regarding the reasons, the studio explained that this was a result of changes in project requirements and the impact on the production team and also the support team within the studio.

In its announcement, the studio also said that it is grateful to the affected development team members and that this decision is not a reflection of the talent, dedication, and performance of the team members.
This layoff is not the studio’s first layoff but rather the 5th layoff after previously in 2024 the studio canceled work on the latest Deus Ex game and laid off 97 employees, and 3 more times in 2025 where at least more than 75 employees were affected.
Studio Heads Also Leave Eidos Montreal

In addition to laying off 124 employees, the studio also announced that the head of the studio, David Anfossi, was also leaving the company. David is the head of the studio who has held this position for more than 12 years.
For his contribution while he was studio head, Eidos Montreal would like to thank David’s contribution and wish the former studio head the best in the future.
In addition to this announcement, the studio also said that a transition plan is underway, and that new information will be shared once the studio’s new leadership is installed.

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
