Todd Howard Remake – Who doesn’t know the name Todd Howard in the video game industry? The man, who is now around 55 years old, is an important figure in the Bethesda company and is known for creating the games in the Elder Scrolls, Fallout and Starfield series.

In a Podcast, Todd shares his opinion regarding how he doesn’t like the Remake game and more like more Remastered because he thought it was better. What is the reason?

Well, Todd Howard recently spoke with Kinda Funny where he was quite open about why game remakes aren’t something he likes. He can still “soften” towards remastered games, but for remake games he still tends to refuse. According to him, the age of a game is part of its identity, including what it brought when it was first launched.

The following is a statement from Todd Howard regarding his opinion on the Remake game

Lately I’ve become more accepting of the remaster concept. But when it comes to remakes, I still tend to disagree. I still respect remakes made by other people, it’s just that for me the age of a game is part of its identity, including the ‘feel’ of its era and the meaning it carried when it was first released.

In the same interview, Todd also confirmed that The Elder Scrolls VI will return to the roots of the series. Overall, his statement gives the impression that Bethesda wants to try to revive their classic “flavor”, especially after the player response to Starfield was arguably below expectations.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas Versions Made Remastered Versions

Todd himself did not clearly deny the news that the latest versions of Fallout 3 and New Vegas were being prepared. He also indicated that there are several other Fallout projects that are currently still in the development stage.

However, the remakes that many players are hoping for for Fallout 3 and New Vegas will likely lead to remasters. The good news is that the success of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is clear proof that Bethesda games can still be charming even if they are only polished with more modern visual quality.
